Ewan Stirling

John LoveringEwan Stirling was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), HSBC for the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man on 19 October 2015. Based at HSBC International’s flagship headquarters in Jersey, Ewan oversees the local Retail and Commercial Bank, HSBC Bank International, Asset Management, Private Bank and Trust businesses of the HSBC Group in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

Ewan has 30 years’ experience in Financial Services with the HSBC Group. His previous appointment was Head of UK Transformation, HSBC UK Plc.  Prior to this, Ewan was CEO of HSBC in Oman. Ewan joined the HSBC Group in 1986 as an International Manager and has worked overseas for the majority of his career in a variety of senior managerial roles including Hong Kong, Dubai, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman and the UK.

Ewan sits on the Jersey College for Girls Board of Governors, their Governance and Curriculum & Staffing Sub-Committees and on the Durrell Board of Trustees.

Away from the office, Ewan is a keen cyclist. He is married with three children.
