Fota Wildlife Park

Fota Wildlife Park was opened in 1983 and is a joint project of the Zoological Society of Ireland and University College Cork. It is a registered charity and any financial surpluses that the Park generates are reinvested in order to promote the company’s objectives of conservation, education and research. Fota supports our Madagascar Pochard conservation project with a significant donation towards the annual running costs of the breeding facility in Antsohihy the building of which they also supported.
